Bernie Borges [00:00:00]:
What if you could wake up on Monday actually looking forward to your work week? Not because you have the perfect job or the perfect boss. Spoiler alert, by the way, there’s no such thing. But because your work actually feels aligned with who you are and what matters most to you. Hey, I’m Bernie Borges, the fulfillment architect and host of the Life Fulfilled podcast. And what I just described, my friend, is, is what it means to be fulfilled at work. And if you’re like most people that I talk to, you spent years being productive, reliable and successful without ever really asking yourself, am I fulfilled at work? Now, does that sting a little bit? You see that quiet dissatisfaction deep inside that you can’t quite name. That lack of energy, the second guessing, the sense that you’ve outgrown your role or outpaced your own purpose. That’s the signal, and it won’t go away by itself.
Bernie Borges [00:01:04]:
And that’s exactly why I created the Fulfilled at Work Masterminds. Now, before I tell you about Fulfilled at Work Masterminds, let me tell you my story. I was a co founder in a startup nearly 10 years ago. On the surface, we were crushing it. My face was a part of the brand. I had speaking gigs, I hosted a podcast. I had social media prominence at accolades, praise. I was well respected and by all accounts, considered successful.
Bernie Borges [00:01:40]:
And frankly, I drank my own Kool Aid. But on the inside, I felt empty. I was disconnected. And the worst part is, I didn’t know how to deal with it. And the truth is, I didn’t tell anyone how I was feeling. Honestly, I felt like an imposter. I felt like I wasn’t being true to myself. So one day I sat down with pen and paper and I wrote out my values.
Bernie Borges [00:02:11]:
You know, the things that are really important to me. Things like eating dinner with my family every night, getting seven hours sleep every night, getting to the gym at least three days a week, going kayaking on the weekends with my wife, etc. You get the idea. So once I had my values written down on paper, then the next step was to cross examine, so to speak, how I was living my life in relation to my values. Not just my career, my entire life. Yes, my career was a big part of it, of course. I mean, let’s face it, we spend at least two thirds of our awake hours working. Anyway, this cross examination is what really gave me clarity.
Bernie Borges [00:03:01]:
I was able to understand where I was aligned and where I was misaligned. And that gave me both the motivation and the ability to create an action plan to better Align my values with my career and other areas of my life. But you know what I didn’t have? I didn’t have a group of people to discuss this with who could support me and that I could do the same for them. That would have made this journey less daunting and a whole lot more rewarding. This journey that I went through is my why. This is why I’ve created the Fulfilled at Work mastermind groups. So that people who want to make a transformation of sorts can have the support of a small group of like minded people and do it in a safe space. A space where everyone is going through a similar journey and you all support each other.
Bernie Borges [00:04:06]:
Now, in my Fulfilled at work Mastermind, my approach is unique. I’ve developed a framework for this and it’s based on fulfillment across your five life pillars. And they are Health, fitness, career, relationships and legacy. Now, now, while career is one of the five pillars, I learned through my own journey that I couldn’t transform my career and then ignore the other four life pillars. They all connect to make us who we are. It’s like when you go to a dentist. You can’t leave your legs in the waiting room. Even though the dentist is working on your mouth.
Bernie Borges [00:04:50]:
Your entire body is in the dentist chair. Okay, that’s a weird analogy, I know, but you get the point. Our humanity is made up of these five life pillars. Transforming in my career couldn’t be done in isolation. When I examined each pillar, I was able to gain perspective. I gained clarity on how I needed to transform my career. Incidentally, if you’re not thinking about transforming your career, that’s okay. Whether it’s transforming or maybe alleviating burnout or discovering your next role at your current place of employment, or finding a new place of employment.
Bernie Borges [00:05:32]:
However you define your unique situation, this approach applies. So let me tell you about the Fulfilled at Work masterminds. It is a live, small group coaching experience that’s built around one simple idea. You and I deserve to feel energized, aligned and motivated by our work, not drained by it. Each mastermind is a group of seven to 10 people we meet twice a month. Virtually over the course of three months. We explore what fulfillment at work really looks like for you through the lens of the five life pillars. Now I divide the masterminds into two distinct groups, also known as cohorts.
Bernie Borges [00:06:21]:
One is for individual contributors. These are people navigating their own path to purpose and fulfillment in their careers. And the other is for leaders who are focused on building team cultures that foster fulfillment for them and for others. So you would be in one of the cohorts, but not both. Now, here’s what you’ll experience in a Fulfilled at Work mastermind. In other words, the outcomes. You’ll gain clarity, just like I gained clarity that gave me freedom to take action. This isn’t just the thinky, journaly kind of clarity.
Bernie Borges [00:07:00]:
I’m talking about clarity that drives career defining action. Here are some examples of what you might experience in a Fulfilled at Work matter Mastermind. Maybe you’ll realize that your values are misaligned with your job. And then you’ll use that insight to initiate a role change within your company which can lead to greater energy, better performance, and maybe even a promotion. Or maybe you’ll redesign your work boundaries to protect time for creativity or family life, leading to better health and a renewed passion for your career. If you’re a leader, maybe you’ll rebuild your team’s feedback approach based on what you learned. That can have a profound impact on improved retention and trust in your team. So whatever your unique experience is, the point is fulfillment isn’t just a feeling.
Bernie Borges [00:07:59]:
It’s a career advantage. When you feel fulfilled in your career, you show up more focused, more engaged and more confident to pursue the right opportunities for you. Let me tell you what the Fulfilled at Work mastermind is not. It is not a passive course. In fact, it’s not even a course. And it’s also not therapy. It’s a high touch, immersive, guided experience you meet twice a month with a small curated cohort. You reflect and assess your personal fulfillment across the five life pillars.
Bernie Borges [00:08:39]:
You get coaching from me and peer support to move through real world challenges. And you take weekly action toward becoming more fulfilled right where you are. This is about progress, not perfection. Let me repeat this. It’s about progress, not perfection. This is your space to find momentum, clarity, confidence and action to make whatever change you need to make to experience fulfillment in your career. If you’re still with me, what’s next? Well, if you’re ready to start feeling fulfilled at work and in life, join the wait list for the next Fulfilled at Work Mastermind. Joining the waitlist is not a commitment on your part, nor my part.
Bernie Borges [00:09:31]:
Joining the waitlist starts a simple process. First, I’ll send you a short questionnaire so I can learn about you and your goals and to help determine where you fit with others in a cohort of seven to 10 people. Now, before either of us make a commitment, we we’ll have a one on one call. If after that call we Mutually agree on fit. I’ll send you a link where you can sign up for a Mastermind cohort. So remember, joining the waitlist starts the process. It doesn’t commit you or me to putting you in a Mastermind cohort. That said, these cohorts are intentionally small and I anticipate the first two will fill up quickly.
Bernie Borges [00:10:11]:
And at this time, I’m only opening up two cohorts as a waitlist member. You’ll get early access and special inaugural pricing. Now, if this resonates, visit the link in the show Notes for this episode, it’s going to take you to my website. Specifically, it’ll take you to the fulfilledatworkacademy.com masterminds page. Visit the Masterminds page anyway to give yourself the opportunity to decide if you’re ready to take action, if you’re ready to get to that place that you want to be in your career and in your life. You know, I remember how I felt when I was successful on the outside and empty on the inside.
Bernie Borges [00:11:05]:
So I’m glad that I took action. And as I said earlier, this is why I’m offering these Masterminds. You know, if I wanted to, I could sell some high priced technology product that would probably put a whole lot more money in my pocket. But that’s not what fulfills me. I much prefer to fill 2 fulfilled at work Mastermind cohorts because I know that I’m going to have an impact on people’s lives and that, my friend, aligns with my values and my work.
