Well, the day has come. What was the Midlife Fulfilled Podcast is now the Life Fulfilled Podcast. If you’ve been with me on this journey, thank you! This name change is more than just a rebrand, it’s a new chapter that I’m really excited to share with you.
On episode 240, I share the backstory and get vulnerable about how I almost quit. That’s right, I considered shutting down the podcast. But, I’m not. You can listen here: 👇🏼
When I launched the Midlife Fulfilled Podcast back in February 2022, I was navigating my own questions about what fulfillment really means in midlife. I knew I wasn’t alone. Others are exploring the emotions that drive us beyond happiness such as research from Dr. Daniel Cordaro. He refers to contentment as the universal emotion common to everyone in every culture in the globe.
I believe that fulfillment is the second most powerful emotion in our humanity, second only to love. Originally, I wanted to explore the meaning of fulfillment in midlife. But here’s what I discovered: while the word “midlife” fit my age, it didn’t fit everyone tuning in.
In fact, to my surprise, I found that 25% of my listeners are under 45, and as many as 10% are in their 20s and 30s. They weren’t listening because they identified with the term “midlife.” They were drawn to something more universal, the desire for fulfillment.
This insight was a big lightbulb moment for me.
Another lightbulb? The word “midlife” carries some baggage. For many, it instantly brings to mind a crisis. And even those who are in midlife sometimes resist the identity. I ignored that for a while, but I can’t ignore it any longer, due to the stagnant growth of my podcast.
So here’s the pivot: I’m moving from a demographic focus (midlife) to a psychographic one—fulfillment. This shift aligns perfectly with the message I’ve been sharing all along because fulfillment transcends age. Whether you’re 28 or 68, if you care about living a fulfilled life, this podcast is for you.
So, what’s changing? Honestly, not much—except the name and a renewed sense of purpose.
I’ll still bring you:
- Maximum episodes: teaching moments packed with actionable insights.
- Vulnerable conversations: real people sharing real stories.
- Solo “on my mind” episodes: reflections from my own journey.
You’ll notice a bit more focus on the career pillar, because let’s face it, that’s where many individuals admit feeling stuck. But I’m still rooted in all five pillars of fulfillment: health, fitness, career, relationships, and legacy.
If the podcast name change resonates with you, I have a HUGE ask: please share the Life Fulfilled Podcast with someone today. Share it with someone who wants more out of life. Share it with someone who is ready to pursue fulfillment in a real, practical way.
Please share it today because my BHAG (big, hairy audacious goal) is to reach 3 billion people with my message of fulfillment across the five key life pillars. I can’t do it alone. You can help me reach this BHAG.
And if this shift to the Life Fulfilled podcast doesn’t speak to you, I completely respect that. No hard feelings.
That’s the update on the podcast. Here’s another, related update.
My business name is now Fulfilled at Work Academy. The new home online is FulfilledAtWorkAcademy.com. If you visit MidlifeFulfilled.com, you’ll be redirected.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I hope you’ll stick around for what’s next. And as always, remember this: when you experience fulfillment, it’s immutable. No one can take it away.
Let’s pursue a Life Fulfilled—together.
